British Muslim Initiative has called a public rally, in conjunction with Liberty, on Monday the 20th of November that will demand an end to Islamaphobia and will defend freedoms of religion, thought and conscience.
This rally, that will be attended by the Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone as well as a large number of cross-party representatives, delegates from a number of NGOs and Muslim organisations, will be the initial step towards building a new national coalition to confront the ugly face of Islamaphobia that puts everyone at risk and endangers our country and its future.
The rally, to be held in Westminster’s Methodist Central Hall, will call for a national conference towards the end of January which will prepare for the formal announcement of the long-awaited coalition, which will cross political, ideological, religious, social and ethnic divides.
